Another project is coming...
…next weekend. I have got another video project that I will be posting next week. This is a quick and easy tip for any scrapbooker, any level. Right now though, I am at my parents’ house for a couple of days. Gabriella turns 6 on Saturday and they are having a birthday party for her tomorrow evening. Gosh, they grow up fast don’t they? It makes me feel old.

Altered Placemat Project.......video
I thought I would try a new project and decided to film a “how to” video. It started as a 25 minute video and I cut it down to 8 minutes. I made an altered placemat to put under my dogs’ water bowls. This would be a fun project to do with your kids too. Shoot, you could use the placemat with some dry erase markers or crayons and let preschoolers use it for Basically you need a canvas placemat, contact paper and embellishments.

Altered Items
I thought I would try something new yesterday, and I made a tutorial video for the scrapbooking site that I belong to, Making Memories for You. Well, it started as a 25 minute video but I had to cut it down to less than 10 minutes in order for it to upload to YouTube. The project that I made was an altered placemat and it will be used to put under my dog's water bowl in the kitchen. This project was so easy and quick. The more I thought about it, this would be a great project for the kids to do. They could make their own with some of their drawings, or even better those of you that have preschoolers, you could make one using a blank sheet of paper. When it's finished, just give the kids some crayons or dry erase markers and they can practice their handwriting skills and such. When they finish, just wipe it off and they can use it again!
Check out the video.

Snow Day
I was in a scrappy mood today and got 5 layouts finished. I loved this shot of Gabriella and wanted to share it. It's the first page in her newest album that I'm making. I used some Bazzill cardstock and a Hambly transparency. The flowers are Prima and for the life of me, I can't remember the brand of letters I used. I thought it turned out pretty good for a "quickie layout".

Bridal Shower Decoration
It's a "towel cake"!!! I have made diaper cakes in the past, but thought I would try this for my niece's bridal shower. It took four each of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Putting it together didn't take long, but stringing the beads was tedious. They were actually an afterthought. I had purchased them when I was making baby shower invitations, and had a ton left over, so I just started stringing them together. My friend Vickie came over to help me out and see how to make the cake. She is planning on making one also.

Another set of Invitations...
My niece is getting married at the end of May, and for her bridal shower I made 45 invitations. They ended up being really cute, if I do say so, and I hope she is happy with them. Now it's time to focus on the challenges that have been posted on the Making Memories for You message board. This is a great club and a great group of ladies from all over the world. If you haven't checked it out yet, click on the link and sign up. It's free to join, and there are some fun challenges out there to get your creative juices pumping!!!

Hired...
A friend wanted me to make her baby shower invitations. It's a cold and rainy day, so she came over this morning and we went to work. I got everything ready and we made an assembly line to get them finished. In total, when we were finished, we made fifty invites. She seemed very happy with them, and while they are simple, they have a nice look about them.

Scripture Wheel
That’s what I’m calling my latest project. It started when I bought a 7 Gypsy ATC holder. What was I going to do with this??? First I was going to make a perpetual calendar with birthdays and anniversaries. Then it was something else. Finally I decided on using the project to “get closer with God”. As an added bonus, my friend Melissa is making one of these as well. We spent most of the day on-line, chatting about what we were doing.
What I’m doing is making topic cards covering such things as Grace, Prayer, Doubt, Anger, Comfort and more. I finished those today. Tomorrow I am going to start finding specific scriptures that relate to each topic. On one side I will handwrite the scripture from the NIV study Bible that I have. The other side of the card will just be decorated to match the wheel. This is not going to be a speedy process, but I hope to get the wheel finished this month.

Lovin' the look...
...on my nephew's face. This was a shot of him during his birthday party, and he new it was "his day". He got a Superman chair that was just his size and loved it. This picture made me think of The Godfather. I can hear "Don" Vito Corleone saying, "That I cannot do." or "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." Hayden is a little toughie, but he's got the heart of a little lover. Isn't he cute!!!

Valentine's Day
Well, it's already been a great day. My wonderful husband sent me the most beautiful roses. I need to take some shots of them so I can scrapbook them. Other than that it's been a pretty routine day around here. I did get out to Barnes & Noble so I could pick up the latest copy of Simple Scrapbooks. One of my favorite scrapbook clubs, Life Preservers, is highlighted on page 70. If you haven't checked them out, click on the link in my blog to view their site. The owner, Shellye, is a great person who really puts together some great kits.

Woke up this morning...
...got my ATG gun. I don't know what I like better, the Soprano's or scrapbooking.
It's been a snowy couple of days here in E'town, so I haven't been out of the house much. What a better way to spend the day... scrapbooking!!! I got about 5 layouts finished over the last couple of days. Here's one of my favorites.
You will have to let me know what you think.

Scrapbooking...
"
...is my world. Well, almost my world. I guess my family does come first. Anyway, I have another blog that I use for multiple things and thought I would start a creative blog with Blogger to see if I like the format any better. I guess I will give it a couple of weeks and see what happens. I just really hate the thought of having to "redo" my posts. For a good start, here is a slide show of some of my work.
